6 Homemade Face Masks | Ariana's Beauty Corner

Hello my beautiful friends! Today I'm going to share with you some ideas for homemade masks that I tried and liked. So let's begin!
1.The Miracle Face Mask

This DIY mask, made of nutmeg, honey, and cinnamon, is calming and soothing for stressed-out skin-. In addition, it smells absolutely amazing!
The secret? Nutmeg and honey act as natural anti-inflammatories, which can reduce swelling and redness in skin. They’re also great for soothing acne scars and preventing infection. Furthermore, the nutmeg and cinnamon also work to exfoliate your skin when you wash this mask off.
Warning!!! Before you begin, it’s always a good idea to do a small test with homemade mixes on your skin to make sure you don’t have a bad reaction to any ingredients. So remember to do a quick test on sensitive skin, like the inside of your wrist, before applying this mask to your face.
To create the mask, mix 2 tablespoons of honey with a teaspoon of cinnamon and a teaspoon of nutmeg. The consistency should be like a thick paste. After it’s all mixed, apply the mask to your face and let it sit for 30 minutes. Wash it off with warm water, scrubbing softly in circular motion for exfoliation.

2.Avocado Face Mask

This is a nourishing, hydrating, pore-tightening and skin-clearing DIY face mask. Perfect for combination/oily and acne-prone skin.
To create this mask, you will need 1 ripped avocado, pitted, peeled and mashed, 1 egg white and 1 tablespoon of lemon juice.
In a small bowl, combine mashed avocado with egg white and lemon juice. Mix with a wooden spoon to make a smooth paste. After cleansing, apply face mask onto entire face except eye area for 20 minutes. Rinse and follow up your usual beauty routine (such as toner and moisturizer). The mask do not keep well and it is recommended to use it within a day.
Extra Tip: If you want, you can replace lemon juice with apple cider vinegar which gives more glowing skin.

3.Cucumber Face Mask

You can do much more with cucumbers than just add them to your salad or merely put them over your eyes while you try to get some beauty sleep.  Since cucumbers carry so many anti aging benefits, you should definitely make the most of them.
So what are we going to need? 1 cucumber, half a cup of yogurt and 1 spoon of milk powder.
First of all, you want to peel your cucumber and then cut it up into tiny little cubes. While you’re at it, you might as well get rid of the seeds too. When done, you want to put your pieces into a blender.  Add the yogurt. Add the milk powder. Then go ahead and blend away. You want to have a smooth and rather thick substance when done. Once you have your cucumber concoction, make sure that you have a clean, dry face to put it on. Washing your face and patting dry is definitely recommended before anything else. Then simply use your fingers to spread your homemade past evenly over your face and neck. Of course, you want to steer clear of the eye area. Let it sit for a good 10-15 minutes before you rinse. Cold water is the best. But if you simply must use warm, you should at least finish off with a splash of cold.  Remember that cold water closes your pores and tightens your skin. Finally, apply your moisture cream and you're ready.

4.Oat and Honey Face Mask

This cleansing, rejuvenating and very simple face mask is recommended especially for combination skin, but you can use it on most skin types. You will need oatmeal, honey and yogurt. I know. It sounds disgusting, but trust me it works. Then mix equal amounts of oatmeal and yogurt. Approximately a tablespoon of each is usually enough for one facial. Add a little bit of honey – just a teaspoonful. Mix well and apply on cleansed face. Leave on for at least ten minutes, wash off with warm water and remove any remains of the mask with a natural skin toner, such as rose water.

5.Coffee and Cocoa Face Mask

Coffee and cocoa masks have long been a favorite of beauty aficionados. As a combination, they decrease puffiness in the face and the eye area, brighten skin and wake up a dull-ish complexion (Oh hello caffeine!). You will need 4 tablespoons of cocoa powder, 4 tablespoons of  finely ground espresso or coffee beans, 8 tablespoons of dairy product. Choose whole milk, heavy cream, yogurt (must be unflavored!), almond milk or coconut milk. Use less dairy if you like a thicker paste. Try an egg instead of dairy if you are an egg mask lover, or substitute oils, such as olive oil, extra virgin cococnut oil or sweet almond oil if you have dehydrated skin.
Last but not least, you will need 2 tablespoons of honey (if you have dry skin) or lemon juice (if you have oily skin).
Now for the preparation. If you have whole beans, finely grind beans in a grinder. Remember, beans should be finely ground so they don't scratch your face. If you just made coffee, you can use the freshly brewed coffee grounds, although they won't contain as much caffeine. Mix coffee and cocoa powder in a bowl. Add the dairy product and stir until a smooth paste forms.  Stir in the honey(I like to warm up the honey in a warm water bath or in the microwave so it mixes better). Apply the paste to your clean face and neck.  Let the mask dry. Wet a washcloth and press it to your face to loosen the mask, then rinse with warm water. If you have sensitive skin, you should avoid rubbing your face because the coffee grounds could potentially scratch your skin. It's really up to you, you'll get a feel for what your skin can take and how finely ground the coffee is. You can store the leftover paste in the refrigerator for several days.

6.Lemon and Milk Face Mask

Milk is a natural source of alpha hydroxy acid (AHA), and AHAs are commonly used in skincare to reduce wrinkles or signs of aging, and improving overall skin texture and smoothness. How does it work? By exfoliating the outermost layer of the skin, leaving a blemish-free skin that’s smooth like a baby’s bottom. You can make your own anti-aging mask using 1 tablespoon full cream milk, 2 tablespoons lemon juice and 1 slice of lemon. Then, mix the lemon juice and the milk and stir well. Throw in the lemon slice. It will curdle slightly, but don’t worry — it’s supposed to look funny. Leave it for 3-4 hours to cold, but not in the fridge. Apply it very carefully on a clean face, taking care to avoid the eyes.  Leave on for 15 minutes and rinse well.

Also, I highly recommend to use a brush to apply the face mask, like the one in the photo below.

So I hope I helped you and I will see you next week!! Don't forget to follow by email my blog and send me your reviews about the face masks! I would love to see them! <3

Make Up Haul ! | Ariana's Beauty Corner

Hi my beautiful friends! I did some shopping these days and I bought some new products, so I thought it could be a good idea to show you what I purchase.
Let's get started!

Mac Lip Pencil (shade: Hip 'N' Happy)

Firstly I bought this lip pencil to combine it with a mac lipstick I own in the shade 'Please Me' ,but then I realize that I could wear it all alone and it would still look amazing . It's a gorgeous nude pinkie shade,it doesn't dry my lips and it stays all day in place. I got it for 12€/13.70$.So if you are looking for a nude lip pencil this is the one you will love.

Avon Lipsticks (shades: Spring Lilac and Peach Petunia)

I found these lipsticks in a pretty good deal, 2 lipsticks for 6.70€/7.70$ so I bought them. The first one is in a purple/fuchsia shade, perfect for spring or summer and the other one is in a peachy shade for an everyday look.  They are both shimmery but they look fantastic on my lips and they stay on for hours. I fully recommend them!

The Body Shop Colour Crush Lipstick (shade: 205 Passionate Pink)

When I saw this lipstick my first thought was that it's the best shade for spring. You can't see the actual shade in the picture but it's a beautiful fuchsia shade perfect for our loving season which is coming. The application feels more like a lip balm than a lipstick. So so moisture. Its price is 13.50€/15.40$, but I got it when it was in sale.

Essence Lipstick (shade: 13 Love Me)

Another GORGEOUS nude shade has this Essence lipstick. I loved it the second I found it. I have already tried this one and it's a really good lipstick. It makes my lips so smooth and it lasts for a few hours. It's a low price lipstick, but for it's price the result leaves me satisfied. I don't remember the price but it was very economical.

Kiko Eyeshadow Pallette

I got this pallette from Kiko in a recent trip that I went in Italy. For God sake! It could become my favorite pallette. I don't use eye shadows but I thought I could buy this to try it out. It lasts all day. It's amazing. I'm really excited I bought it!  It has a very economical price. I got for 5€/5.70$.

Avon Comb It Mascara

It doesn't look very clearly in the photo, but this mascara has a unique plastic wand like a comb, which makes my lashes look longer with only one coat. It doesn't provide volume, but you can combine it with another mascara, like I do. It picks up just the right amount of product. Also it makes my lashes look naturarly big and thick and holds my eyelashes curl.
I got it in the ridiculous price of 1.30€/1.50$.

So that's all I bought these days! I hope you like my post and I will see you next week with a surprise post! If you have any question or suggestion please feel free to send me a message to arianabeautyblog@gmail.com

                                                Love you, Ariana <3

My Top 7 Beauty Products | Ariana's Beauty Corner

Hello everyone! For my first blog, I decided to go through my make up products and choose 7 of them which are my favorites. So let's get started!

1.Real Techniques Stippling Brush
OH MY GOD. This brush.. It's the most perfect brush I have EVER used. First of all, you can use this to apply foundation, powder or blush, so it's like your personal multifunctional brush. It gives a beautiful, flawless result without streaks and I think the quality is amazing for its price. I got it from feelunique.com for 15€/17$,but I'm pretty sure you can find it everywhere. Despite some people complaints about bristles falling out, I haven't noticed anything since my purchase. I definitely recommend this brush for any use you want.
2.Boirjois Healthy Mix Foundation                           For foundation, I use the Boirjois Healthy Mix Foundation EVERY SINGLE DAY since i've bought it. It's a really light foundation with a smooth application and medium coverage. Furthermore, it has a natural finish with a slight sheen. I wouldn't really recommend this foundation for people who have oily complexion, but for every other skin type is a very good and also economic solution. I have the lightest shade which is 'light vanilla' and I got it for 13.60€/15.50$.

3.Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder

Rimmel. What can I say for this brand's products? I just adore pretty much everything I have ever tried from Rimmel. This is by far the best powder I have ever used. And believe me I have tried a lot! It gives a beautiful matte finish which sets the rest of your make up but also illuminates your skin.  It doesn't make your skin look powdery or cakey.I think the best way to use this powder is to apply it in your T-zone and other areas which could become oily during the day. The first time I used this powder I did my make up as usual in the morning and by the time I returned back to my house in the afternoon I was like 'Wow! This is not happening. It's just my mirror, playing some kind of game with me.'

And if this could happen I would believe it. I looked exactly the same as I looked in the morning. So if you are searching for a matte pressed powder in a good price I would recommend you this one. I bought it for 5.50€/6.20$. Very attractive price i'd say.

4.MAC Lipstick (Matte Please Me)

This is probably one of my top 5 lipsticks. It's a gorgeous nude, soft pinkie shade, with a great consistency that lasts all day on my lips. Seriously. If I combine this one with a similar lip pencil it could stay on all day. It really moisturizes my lips, doesn't dry them and makes them look a little bit fuller than they are. You can wear it everyday, in work or even at school or you can wear it at night with a heavy eye make up, just to emphasize the whole look. This cost me 19€/22$. It's quite an expensive product but I don't regreat this purchase, because I think it's worth the money.

 5.Chanel Rouge Coco (Triomphe 60)

The brand of all brands. The truth is, that although this lipstick is now in this list, I was quite disappointed when i first tried it. I think it's an amazing lipstick, of a good quality and it doesn't make my lips dry. On the contrary, it doesn't last. At least it doesn't last on my lips. I mean, I paid 32€/37$, I got a beautiful, chic chanel lipstick in a gorgeous shade that I love, but when I put it on I'll have to reapply every 1-2 hours. Dear God, WHY??? So this restricts the occasion I use it for. I mean, I obviously use it and I love it, but I will not choose to wear it if I'm going to be out for a long time. I will only use it if I'm going for a coffee or shopping or stuff like this.  So if you want a pretty nude, peachy shade and you don't have a problem neither with the price nor the lasting, I would  definitely recommend it. I forgot to mention that the smell of it.. Oh Sweet Jesus.. It smells AMAZING!

6.Maybeline Baby Lips Electro (Berry Bomb)                                                                                                    Moving on lip care products we have to mention the Maybeline Baby Lips Electro in the shade Berry Bomb. I'm sure you have heard about these lip balms again and again, but there is good reason for it. It does smell perfect, it hydrates my lips, it gives them a nice sheen and makes them smooth and soft. I also have Baby Lips Peach Kiss, Cherry Me which is also very mosturizing, Pink Punch and Intense Care.
7.The Body Shop Hand Cream (Shea)

Continuing on moisturize, a very good hand cream is The Body Shop Hand Cream with shea butter. In the winter my hands become really dry and they hurt me, so I need to hydrate them. I always prefer this hand cream because the result is amazing and it smells very nice . I usually put it on twice a day, one in the morning and then one at night. It's an economical solution, I think it cost only 4.70€/5.40$ and it's this little pretty packaging in the photo.

So these were my top 7 beauty products. I hope I helped you and I'll see you next week with another blogpost!
I also have another blog. I'll link it down below if you want to check it out!
